Founded by Norwegian actress Elisabeth Dahl and director Alfredo Michelsen in 2012, The Norwegian Shakespeare Company stages great drama from the English speaking world for a Norwegian audience, with a particular emphasis on the greatest playwright of them all: William Shakespeare.
Through bold, physical, current and playful productions, we want to connect people with Shakespeare, entertain them, move them and give them food for thought.
By using the original language, none of Shakespeare’s timeless poetry and insight is lost in translation.
