In the early spring of 2016, The Norwegian Shakespeare Company was commissioned by Den Kulturelle Skolesekken (DKS) of Oslo to create a class-room production of Shakespeare's first ever known play, The Two Gentlemen of Verona. This was in connection with The Globe Theatre Company performing a full cast production of the same play at Akershus Slott in Oslo the same year, with school matinées booked for 300 students from a selection of Oslo VGS by DKS.

Elisabeth Dahl created a 30 minute version of the play in English, accompanied by a 30 minute interactive introduction to Shakespeare’s works, his company and time. The staging was devised and performed by Elisabeth Dahl and Sveinung Oppegaard, and did twelve performances over the course of a two week tour to Oslo schools in June 2016.
